Privacy policy

This page explains what data this site collects, what we do with it and what your rights are, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

Data controller

The data controller is KERANTREZ, SARL (French limited liability company), publisher of Kerantrez, 3 bis rue des Carrières, Saint-Efflam, 22310 Plestin-les-Grèves, Côtes-d’Armor. For any question about your data: contact@kerantrez.fr.

Data collected

When you use the contact or booking request form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), your message and, where relevant, the home, dates and number of guests. There is no profiling and no automated decision-making. We do not measure the site’s audience. Only the host’s technical logs, created automatically for security and to keep the service running, may contain your IP address.

Legal basis

Handling your request is based on pre-contractual steps taken at your request (article 6.1.b GDPR). The Google Maps map is based on your consent (article 6.1.a): it only loads if you click to show it.

Purpose

This data is used only to answer your request and handle any booking. It is never sold, rented or passed on for commercial purposes, and we will not send you marketing without your agreement.

Recipients

Only the managers of Kerantrez can see your data. Two technical providers process it on their behalf: Google (Firebase, which hosts the site and stores messages) and Resend, if email alerts are switched on (to send the notification). Nobody else has access to it.

Transfers outside the European Union

Google and, where applicable, Resend Inc. are companies subject to US law. If any data is transferred outside the European Union, the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and by the Data Privacy Framework between the EU and the US, which both companies have signed up to.

Retention period

Messages and booking requests are kept for 3 years at most after our last exchange, then deleted. Data needed for legal obligations (accounting, tax) is kept for as long as the law requires.

Security

The site only runs over HTTPS. Only the managers, once logged in, can read messages, and the database security rules block any public access to the requests received.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to and port your data, and to leave instructions about what happens to it after your death. To use these rights, write to us at contact@kerantrez.fr. We will reply within one month. If, after contacting us, you feel your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority (3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, www.cnil.fr).

Cookies

This site uses no advertising cookies and no audience measurement, and no cookie is set without your consent. One strictly necessary cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) may remember your language. It does not require consent. The admin area, used only by the managers, keeps their login session in their browser’s local storage.

Third-party services

The map on the contact page comes from Google Maps. It only loads if you click to show it, because it sends your IP address to Google and may set cookies. Until you click, nothing is sent to Google. Bookings made on Airbnb are covered by Airbnb’s own privacy policy, which we have no control over.
